A Sevcon controller uses advanced technology like Pulse-Width Modulation (PWM) to monitor certain circuits for potential abnormalities. This technology is designed to detect any deviation in voltage and current and quickly shut down the motor in order to prevent short-circuiting. The green LED will then flash a specific code to indicate the reason for the shutdown.
