Terminal 1 on the Curtis Model 802R 24/36V Battery Discharge Indicator (BDI) is designated for high voltage, supporting either 36V in single or dual voltage configurations. Terminal 5 caters to low voltage, 24V, exclusively available in dual voltage units. This is why they are both positive in the diagram.
The terminal 2 is for negative port, hence the diagram.
