The controller does have the 4th speed option but you will need to contact the OEM of the vehicle such as Club Car to obtain the 4th speed code.
My 2013 club car precedent has a Mcor II 1515-5201 : Curtis 48V 250A Controller W/4th Speed Option 1515-5201, 103403401
No need for programming the 4 speed ? Just plug and play ? Thinking about buying without core part.
