What kind of heatsink do I need to use with my controller?

The minimum required heatsink for your controller is a 4" x 5" aluminium plate that's 1/8" thick. It should be mounted with 3/8" diameter, 1" long (maximum) spacers to meet the current/time and continuous current ratings specified in the datasheet. This will help dissipate the heat generated by the controller and prevent it from overheating.
