Do I have other options for the throttle? I have a handheld programmer with me and can do programming.

By default, you can already use this unit for 5K-0 throttle input. But if you can do the programming independently, you have other options, including the Curtis ET-XXX electronic throttle, 3-wire pots, 0-5V, 0-10V, and 0-5K 2-wire rheostats. You can also browse the attached manual for the sample wiring diagram.
