The motor and controller in this kit are intended for Low-Speed Vehicles (LSV) and tested at 25 mph, regardless of load capacity. The controller also has a vehicle-supported speed sensor that sends alerts when the motor reaches 25 mph. For safety and to prevent the controller from shutting down due to high speed, it is suggested not to exceed 25 mph.
